Agmara Singapore

A trading desk, not a catalogue.

Agmara buys crop-nutrition raw materials at origin and places them with the people who blend, distribute and apply them in Southeast Asia. We work in a narrow band of products and we know them properly.

Position

Where we sit in the chain.

Micronutrients reach Southeast Asian buyers through a long chain. Ore leaves one country, is refined in a second, is sold to a regional distributor, resold to a national trader, and reaches the blender at the end of four margins. Most of that chain adds paperwork rather than value.

We buy as close to the producing plant as the producer's own distribution structure allows, and we sell to the party who actually uses the material. Where a producer has appointed an exclusive distributor for a territory, we work through that appointment rather than around it. That is not deference, it is self-interest: supply arranged against a producer's wishes does not survive its first tight quarter.

Method

What we do differently.

  • We settle the specification in writing before anyone talks about price
  • We ask for the certificate of analysis of the lot being shipped, not a template
  • We tell a buyer when a cheaper grade will not work in their process
  • We quote what we can actually secure, rather than an indication we hope to cover later
  • We keep a written record of origin for every lot, because destination authorities increasingly ask

Markets

Where we work.

Southeast Asia is our market. It is a region where boron and zinc deficiency are widespread, where oil palm, rice, rubber and horticulture each need a different micronutrient programme, and where import registration rules differ sharply from one country to the next.

Indonesia

Oil palm and rice. Boron and copper programmes at estate scale; registration and labelling requirements are strict.

Malaysia

Oil palm and horticulture. Established blending industry buying straights and chelates.

Vietnam & Thailand

Rice, coffee, fruit and vegetables. Strong demand for fully soluble grades for fertigation.

Philippines & wider region

Rice, banana and sugarcane, alongside enquiries from Myanmar and Bangladesh.

Standards

What we will not do.

A short list, kept short on purpose.

  • We do not sell material we cannot document to origin
  • We do not substitute a hydrate form, an isomer ratio or a particle size without the buyer agreeing in writing
  • We do not quote a price for tonnage we have no route to secure
  • We do not represent ourselves as the appointed agent of any producer unless we have been appointed in writing

A note on how we describe ourselves

Agmara is a trading business based in Singapore. We are deliberately plain about what that means: we are a commercial desk, not a manufacturer, and we do not claim production assets, laboratory facilities or certifications that belong to the plants we buy from.

When a counterparty needs corporate and compliance documentation for onboarding, we provide it directly on request rather than publishing it here.

Start with a specification.

Tell us the grade, the tonnage and the port. We will tell you whether we can serve it, and what it will take.
